Dear Editor:

The President repeatedly promised significant savings by rooting out the inefficiencies and corruption in our government health care systems. Is the massive ($600+ million) failure of the Affordable Health Care enrollment system a surprise? What would be surprising is giving the government administrators (up to the top) and their buddy private contractors more than the traditional slap on the wrist. Do not hold your breath. Our democracy, still among the best in the world, has a chronic illness which infects many parts of our society. With treatment, our health care may rise from its 17th place in the world.

Sincerely yours,

Jan Polissar
