We want our allies to feel that we have their backs, that we give them our unwavering support. Sadly, President Trump has not provided this assurance. Britain has suffered three terrorist attacks since March. Given Mr. Trump’s failure to affirm Article 5 of the NATO treaty and given the cloud that his presidency is under, he appears to be the wrong person to handle the complexities of international terrorism.
